Linking Kits in Galleries

Post by Admin on Fri Sep 05, 2008 3:41 pm

For those who are unfamiliar with linking in the gallery, we want a "pretty" looking post, so we want to write the code that lets the customer only see the Product name. All the consumers see is the writing with the linked word to see the kit themselves, but from our posting side, we need to input that link.

To input the link you need to have name you want linked

So for example, Absolute Boy Mega Kit would look like this.....

Absolute Boy Mega Kit

Be sure that you DO NOT include any session specific information (that would be followed by "&zenid" and a bunch of numbers ....for example: http://www.digitalscrapgarden.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_dnld_info&products_id=554&zenid=134eb1eb440ca8877a

Does that make sense? If you are having any trouble, just holler and we'll work it out

You're right! I forgot about that....working with the admin over there to see if we can change that! Just link it everywhere else, and I'll let you know when we get it changed at the garden!

Thanks Martina!! I'll be cruisin' the gallery so I can see your fantastic LO! Appreciate you!

I like linking the neat way so the name of the kit shows and nothing else, just so you know that's how I post my links.
This is fun looking around and checking out everything.

I like to do that too -- once I figured out how to link
I got frustrated when some links were so long and I couldn't do it.
I am a mixer and matcher of parts from different kits, but since being on a team, I think it is so much easier to keep track of just one or two things. I dont have to go through lists of credits either.

I actually think I get more done by sticking to a single kit and maybe an alpha (or some glitter -- hint hint hint -- I love styles, but have no clue how to make my own)

Just a note that Linking at Digital Scrap Garden still is not working.
You are allowed to make the link, but if you go back and check after you have uploaded, the link doesn't work.
You will get a message that says "product not found"
